Liverpool were surprisingly named as reported suitor for Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on Thursday – and Reds supporters have reacted on Twitter to the news that the Gunners star could be on his way to Merseyside this summer.
Football website 90Min have claimed that 30-year-old Aubameyang is a target for Frank Lampard’s Chelsea ahead of the upcoming window, as his future remains in doubt. His £200,000-a-week (Spotrac) contract expires in the summer of 2021.
But Chelsea are not the only side being linked with Aubameyang. Indeed, the report surprisingly claims Liverpool are interested in Gabonese ace Aubameyang – given the striker worked under Jurgen Klopp at Borussia Dortmund.

A report from The Sun has also claimed that Manchester United are looking to keep the ex-AC Milan and St. Etienne star in the Premier League – while Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are looking to lure him away from England.
There is no surprise that Aubameyang is attracting interest from some of Europe’s best clubs. This season, he has continued his stunning form in front of goal, finding the back of the net 20 times in just 32 games in all competitions.
Liverpool fans have reacted on Twitter to the reported news that Klopp’s side are interested in luring the Arsenal skipper to Merseyside, and many believe he would be a good signing – while some feel Liverpool should look elsewhere.
