Liverpool are reportedly considering a swoop to lure Borussia Monchengladbach striker Marcus Thuram to Anfield this summer as Jurgen Klopp looks for new fire power – and Liverpool supporters are excited on Twitter.
German outlet Express.de claims 22-year-old Thuram has arisen as a new name on Klopp’s shortlist, as the Frenchman continues to shine in his first campaign in German football. The striker is the son of French legend Lillian Thuram.
Joining Gladbach last summer from French outfit Guingamp, Thuram has had a hand in 19 goals during his 33 league and cup appearances for Marco Rose’s side. Indeed, Thuram has netted 10 times – as well as creating nine strikes.

The France Under-21 international has been used out wide, on both flanks, more than he has been used as a centre-forward. Given his age and his rapid ability to adapt to a new country, Thuram has been an enormous success at Gladbach.
That has obviously caught the attention of bigger clubs and Liverpool are keen to make a move. The report claims that Thuram, who is represented by notorious super agent Mino Raiola, would be allowed to leave for a whopping £44million.
Liverpool supporters took to Twitter upon hearing the reported news that they were after speed machine Thuram, and many are drooling at the prospect of seeing the Gladbach ace in a red shirt.
