Liverpool are reportedly rivalling two of Europe’s biggest clubs in pursuit of Bayer Leverkusen sensation Kai Havertz this summer – and Liverpool fans are excited on Twitter.
German newspaper Bild have claimed that Liverpool are one of three sides interested in the 20-year-old star, after he scored 20 goals in all competitions last season as well as laying on seven assists.
Already a three-time Germany international, Havertz is one of Europe’s best young players yet to have made the move to one of Europe’s heavyweights. This summer, he has three after him.
Champions League finalists Liverpool are one of those, but Jurgen Klopp’s side face hefty competition. German champions Bayern Munich are keen, as are La Liga champions Barcelona.

The report claims that any interested parties must stump up a whopping £90million to land the Leverkusen academy product this summer, with the Bundesliga outfit unwilling to do business for a figure below that amount.
Liverpool boast one of the best attacking trios in the world in Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mo Salah, but the Reds lack depth. Xherdan Shaqiri, Adam Lallana and Divock Origi are arguably the next best three.
Liverpool fans reacted on Twitter to the reported news that their club were interested in signing £90million-rated Havertz this summer, and may Reds fans are desperate to see the the German move to Merseyside.
A move for Havertz would see Liverpool smash their club-record transfer, which currently stands at Virgil van Dijk’s £75million move to Anfield.
