Liverpool fans react as Champions League draw throws up RB Leipzig test

Liverpool have been handed an interesting Champions League clash against RB Leipzig following today’s draw for the last 16.

The Bundesliga outfit knocked Tottenham out at the same stage of last season’s competition and will smell English blood once more.

Liverpool will travel to Leipzig for the first leg, before a return leg at Anfield the following week.

Jurgen Klopp will lock horns with Julien Nagelsmann with many believing the Leipzig boss to boast a similar playing style to the Liverpool manager.

It promises to be a fascinating encounter and the Premier League side will hope to avoid elimination at the last 16 for the second successive season.

Liverpool came through a group including Ajax, Atalanta and Midtjylland to reach the last 16.

Leipzig, on the other hand, overcame Manchester United, Istanbul Basaksehir and PSG.

The English champions face another daunting task at this stage of the competition and supporters have been reacting on Twitter.

They will be buoyed by the fact that rivals Manchester United defeated them 5-0 at Old Trafford and the tie is winnable.
