Liverpool fans react as Adrian keeps his first clean sheet

Adrian has replaced Alisson between the sticks.

Adrian kept his first clean sheet as a Liverpool player in the 3-0 win over Burnley. An own goal gave Liverpool the lead from Trent Alexander-Arnold’s deflected cross before Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino sealed the win.

Liverpool kept Burnley at bay, although Adrian was rarely tested. The Spaniard was forced into a diving save early in the game but had a relatively easy game from there. Regardless, though, he will be pleased with his clean sheet.

The ex-West Ham goalkeeper signed on a free transfer just before the season started to replace Belgium-bound Simon Mignolet. He was brought in as Alisson’s deputy but was soon called into action.

Alisson picked up an injury in the game against Norwich City – the first of the season – and Adrian had to come on. Since then, he has played every game, including the UEFA Super Cup win where he was the hero.

But Adrian has been waiting for his first clean sheet. Here are some Liverpool fans reacting to Adrian’s performance.
