Liverpool secured a superb last-gasp win after goalkeeper Alisson Becker scored deep into stoppage time to give the Reds a 2-1 win.

The Reds backed up a fantastic 4-2 win at Old Trafford against Manchester United with another three points and now face a tough task to reach the top-four.

Trent Alexander-Arnold was one man who did at least earn some praise from the club’s supporters. He was once again showcasing a determination to get the team going.

Plenty has been made over his current form but of late, he’s been seemingly desperate to show people what he’s all about.

The £75,000-a-week defender lost his place in Gareth Southgate’s England squad recently and will be desperate to get back in ahead of the European Championships in the summer.

Alisson will grab the main headlines but some fans were keen to applaud the performance of Alexander-Arnold.

Following today’s stalemate, we looked at what supporters were saying about the young right-back, with plenty offering him a degree of sympathy.
