'Ridiculously good': Some Liverpool fans laud Trent Alexander-Arnold pass against Palace
Liverpool continued to put some element of pressure on Manchester City at the top of the table by seeing off Crystal Palace 3-1 at Selhurst Park this afternoon.
Goals from Van Dijk, Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Fabinho from the spot ensured the Reds left London with three points as the Premier League takes a brief pause from action for the next few weeks.
Liverpool fans were obviously delighted with what they saw. And even though they had the contentious penalty call go their way and Palace had chances, it was a pleasing day overall. Certainly, one thing that made the day all the more pleasing was the performance of Trent Alexander-Arnold. In particular, the pass from ‘Trent’ which played Jota in to win the penalty got plenty of attention online.
Alexander-Arnold’s wonderful cross-field pass into Jota’s path had a touch of the David Beckham about it. Indeed, had Jota stuck the chance away, it would have been one of the assists of the season. And over on Twitter, Liverpool fans were buzzing with the pass from Trent.
Here, then, is how some Liverpool fans reacted to the stunning pass from Trent Alexander-Arnold to Diogo Jota.
I know you’re tired of hearing it but this guys unbelievable🤣 pic.twitter.com/5ODLvE5SzW
