Liverpool exited the FA Cup at the hands of Chelsea and in the process saw their hopes of a treble evaporate into the West London air.
Frank Lampard’s side were well worth their 2-0 victory and progressed into the quarter-final of the competition.
Goals from Willian and ex-Everton performer Ross Barkley saw the Blues progress with Liverpool losing two on the spin.

There was one positive from the night in the form of right-back Neco Williams. The Welshman came in for Trent Alexander-Arnold and looked assured and composed.
At 18, Williams looks like a star of the future and his assured performance against Chelsea still caught the eye despite the defeat.
The player who could go to Euro 2020 with Ryan Giggs’ team has made five first-team appearances this season.
He has looked decent in all of them and on this showing he would be a worthy backup for Liverpool’s 2020/21 campaign.
Williams is still learning but Alexander-Arnold emerged as a youngster and there’s no reason why he can’t follow suit.

Following last night’s game, supporters took to Twitter to speak on the performance of Williams.
The vast majority were delighted with his determination and commitment and are excited at what the future holds.
