Liverpool fans rave about Naby Keita after performance against Porto

Liverpool took pole position in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie with Porto on Tuesday night – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter picked out midfielder Naby Keita for praise following his performance.

Jurgen Klopp’s team made the most of home advantage, as they recorded a 2-0 victory at Anfield to give them a strong lead on aggregate.

The Reds travel to Portugal next week with their advantage and will be favourites to progress to the semi-finals.

Keita opened the scoring after five minutes with his deflect shot, while teammate Roberto Firmino also tapped in from close-range in the first-half to secure a win.

The Merseyside giants currently sit top of the Premier League and once again are looking impressive in Europe.

A selection of Liverpool supporters picked out Keita for his display, as he finally begins to come into his own.

The 24-year-old has had a difficult first season in England since he made the move in the summer and has struggled to cement his spot in the team.

But the central midfielder scored his first goal for the club against Southampton last Friday and has now followed that up in Europe.

He delivered an all-action display against Porto that highlighted both his attacking and defensive qualities.
