Liverpool returned to winning ways with a narrow victory over Yorkshire club Sheffield United on Saturday night – and some fans on Twitter hailed their attacker Sadio Mane for his performance.
The Reds had picked up just one point from their two previous Premier League matches against Aston Villa and Everton, but secured a 2-1 win at Anfield over the weekend to get back on track in the defence of their title.
Visitors Sheffield United found themselves in front early in the first-half through Sander Berge’s penalty, but Roberto Firmino’s netted an equaliser just before half-time with a simple finish into an empty net.
Diogo Jota was then the eventual match-winner in the 64th minute with his powerful header, as he got on the end of a Mane cross into the penalty area.

A selection of Liverpool supporters on social media believe that Mane was once again a standout for their team, as he was a constant attacking threat on the left wing and direct with his play.
The 28-year-old will naturally be disappointed not to get on the scoresheet himself, but he was involved with both goal as it was his attempt on target that the goalkeeper parried straight to Firmino for a tap-in.
