Liverpool fans praise Jordan Henderson after Bournemouth victory

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson returned to the starting XI on Saturday for the away match against Bournemouth – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter picked him out for his commanding performance.

The Reds played some breathtaking football at times to secure a 3-0 victory against a struggling Bournemouth and keep up their momentum with a title bid

Jurgen Klopp’s team have now won 15 of their 16 Premier League games so far to sit 11 points clear at the top, with a draw against Manchester United in October the only time they failed to win.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain opened the scoring when he got on the end of a superb long-range pass from midfielder Henderson.

Naby Keith then added a second before half-time after a neat interchange with teammate Mohamed Salah around the box.

Salah then got his customary goal in the second-half to wrap up maximum points, as he burst in behind the Bournemouth defence and tucked in with his favoured left foot.

A selection of Liverpool supporters on social media felt that Henderson was imperious in the centre of the park.

The 29-year-old central midfielder made it look quite an easy game’s work, but he kept the visitors moving in possession and his vision for the opening goal showed his quality.

Klopp has shown he can rotate his options during the last week and continue to winning games at a canter.
