Divock Origi came off the bench in Liverpool’s narrow win over Sheffield United on Saturday afternoon – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter hailed him for his performance.
The Reds secured a 1-0 away victory against Sheffield United and it was a mistake from goalkeeper Dean Henderson that gifted them three points.
Georginio Wijnaldum scored the winning goal in the 70th minute with his strike from outside the box, but in truth his effort was a tame one and goalkeeper Henderson let the ball spill under him into the net.
Jurgen Klopp’s side found it difficult against a resilient Blades backline, but in the end got the win and it means their faultless start to the new campaign continues.
The Merseyside giants have now won all seven of their opening Premier League matches and are eight points ahead of second-placed Manchester City having played a game extra.

A selection of Liverpool supporters on social media did pick out substitute Origi for his encouraging display despite their team not hitting the attacking heights they usually do.
The Belgian has missed the three games across all competitions with an ankle problem, but came back against Sheffield United and looked sharp.
He added some extra physicality and urgency to a Reds attack that did run out of ideas in the final third.
The 24-year-old forward saw one effort go just wide when cutting in from the left flank and he showed he is an important member of the squad at Anfield.
