Liverpool fans on Twitter fumed at Klopp's decision to sub Jones
Liverpool fans aren’t happy with Klopp’s Jones sub.
Liverpool’s 3-3 draw with Brentford yesterday was the game of the season so far in the Premier League.
However, the Reds will be gutted that they weren’t able to sneak a victory in London on the day.
It certainly didn’t help that Jurgen Klopp got one key tactical decision wrong.
Having led twice on the day, the Reds fell to a frustrating draw.
One moment that the fans have pinpointed from the draw was the substitution of Curtis Jones.
The youngster scored a cracker to put the away side 3-2 up, yet he was immediately substituted for Roberto Firmino.

This left the Reds with one less midfield option whilst they tried to see out a lead.
It, inevitably, didn’t work and Yoane Wissa scored an equaliser 15 minutes later.
Moving to a more attacking system with Firmino introduced, the Reds were always more susceptible to Brentford’s attack.
Liverpool still ended the day at the top of the Premier League.
However, had they come away from the Brentford Community Stadium with a win then they’d be guaranteed to remain top.
Now, instead of having the knowledge that they’ll be top, the fans will be watching Brighton on Monday evening.
The Seagulls can go top of the league with a win against Crystal Palace.
That shouldn’t be the case given that Liverpool led twice on Saturday.
Jones was having a fantastic game in midfield before being hooked, too.
Had he stayed on, who knows whether Liverpool would have held on for a win, but they certainly would have had more of a chance of doing so.
What do the fans think?
That was a mistake. Should have put Milner on to defend that result— eriks gasins (@eriksgrafs) September 25, 2021
