Liverpool have reportedly joined the race to sign Crystal Palace striker Alexander Sorloth this summer but could face competition from Real Madrid for the Norwegian – and Liverpool supporters have reacted on Twitter.
Sorloth, 24, joined Turkish side Trabzonspor in the summer on loan from Palace and has since starred in both the Europa League and the SuperLig. The 22-time Norway international has scored 25 goals in 39 games, and has laid on seven assists.
Turkish website Fanatik have claimed that Liverpool are one of a number of big European clubs interested in signing Sorloth, who has another year left on a loan spell with Trabzonspor until June 2021 – a deal which also includes a permanent clause.
However, the report also claims Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Napoli and Sevilla are interested in signing Sorloth – who managed just one goal in 20 appearances for Palace since joining the London-based club for £9million (Mail) in January 2018.
Liverpool do have options up front, but a move for Sorloth would see Jurgen Klopp look to add a plan B to his Liverpool squad. Divock Origi may be tempted to leave the club this summer, but Sorloth is more of a target man.
Liverpool supporters have taken to Twitter after hearing that the Reds were reportedly interested in signing Sorloth, and many are against the idea of bringing a Crystal Palace flop to Anfield this summer.
Is this a joke.

Stay away from him. Fairly good. But will never fulfil the standards at LFC.
Erling Braut Haaland should certainly have been The target in January.

I remember watching him at palace and he was possibly the worst striker I’ve ever seen in the premier league
