Liverpool are reportedly eyeing attacker Federico Bernardeschi from Serie A giants Juventus – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have reacted negatively to the speculation.
Calciomercato reports that the Reds have been “watching” the 25-year-old in action this season.
The report explains that after falling down the pecking order in recent weeks that Juventus could start to entertain the notion of selling him.
Bernardeschi is still under contract in Turin until 2022, but has seen his form disappear this season and he’s entering a crucial time in his career.
The Italian winger should be starting to hit his peak aged 25, but this campaign has been struggling under Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri.
He’s managed one goal and zero assists in 18 games across all competitions this season, with his only goal involvement coming in a Champions League group stage fixture.

A selection of Liverpool supporters on social media aren’t attracted to the speculation of Bernardeschi and are struggling to see a role for him at Anfield.
The Merseyside club confirmed (official Twitter) on Thursday morning that they have signed attacker Takumi Minamino from Red Bull Salzburg, with the deal to official take place on 1 January.
It seems like Jurgen Klopp’s squad is staked with brilliant options in wide roles and left-footed winger Bernardeschi seems a long shot.
