Liverpool are being linked with a move for Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Adama Traore – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have reacted negatively to the speculation.

According to Spanish publication Sport, the Reds are interested in trying to sign the right-winger and an imminent move for him is not out of the question.

It is claimed that Leeds United and Manchester City are potential suitors for the Spaniard, who could end up leaving Wolves during the January transfer window if their €40million (£35.6million) valuation is met.

Traore is a wide player renowned for his strength, directness and blistering pace.

The 24-year-old plays on the right and he’d surely be Mohamed Salah’s understudy if he did end up at Anfield.

He started during Wolves’ 3-2 defeat to West Brom on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League. Traore showed some brilliant individual moments with his work out wide and he pulled back some excellent crosses at times, but he wasn’t consistent enough during the 90 minutes.

A selection of Liverpool supporters on social media aren’t convinced that Traore is the target that can make a big difference in Jurgen Klopp’s squad.

His record of one goal and one assist this season is a big cross against his name. Liverpool have so much talent in their forward line and have players posting big numbers year on year.
