Dani Ceballos has claimed in an interview with Marca that he turned Liverpool down to sign for Arsenal.
The 23-year-old arrived at the Emirates Stadium on a season-long deal from Real Madrid, despite interest from Jurgen Klopp.
Ceballos hasn’t enjoyed the best of seasons in the capital, missing a large chunk of it through injury.

He has returned to the bench in recent weeks but it remains to see what plans Mikel Arteta has for him.
The midfielder could have joined Liverpool but chose Arsenal due to their style of play.
He told Marca: “I was proud to have a club like Liverpool after me, but I chose Arsenal because of Unai Emery and how he was with me. Right now, I wouldn’t fit in at Liverpool very well.
“Klopp is a great coach but you have to look at the playing philosophy of each team. Right now, my style of play wouldn’t fit in the best possible way in a team like Liverpool. Still, being linked to the best teams in the world just shows I’m doing things right.”
Following those comments from the midfield maestro, Liverpool supporters have taken to Twitter.

It seems that not too many people are overly disgruntled with Ceballos’ career move – and why would they be?
Liverpool are currently 22 points clear in the Premier League and are still on course for Champions League and FA Cup glory too.
