It was always going to be difficult for any England player to really impress in their final World Cup qualifier, but Arsenal starlet Emile Smith Rowe has managed it with the attacking midfielder receiving plaudits from a host of Liverpool fans on Twitter.
Smith Rowe made his debut for the Three Lions in their win over Albania last week. The attacking midfielder came off the bench for Gareth Southgate’s men in the 77th minute in the 5-0 win.

He was handed a first start against San Marino on Monday. Of course, the quality of the opposition makes it difficult to get carried away.
But ultimately, England brought up double figures to round off their qualifying campaign. And Smith Rowe was one of the highlights of the performance.
The Arsenal man scored one and provided an assist. Some of his touches were outstanding. He really did look several levels above the players that he was coming up against – and he will probably feel that he had several more gears to go through.

And some of his link-up play with Trent Alexander-Arnold was particularly impressive.
Interestingly, the pair will be opponents later this week. Liverpool host Arsenal in the first Premier League game back after the international break.
