Liverpool fans laud Alisson after recovering early from injury

Liverpool fans have lauded the mentality of goalkeeper Alisson after he revealed he recovered from his shoulder injury around twice as quickly as he was supposed to.

The Brazilian accidentally collided with one of his own teammates in a training session before the international break, and Reds fans had been very worried about his condition.

In the end, Alisson only ended up missing games against Aston Villa, Everton and Ajax, and the player has today been speaking about his rapid recovery.

He said (official website): “I pray a lot! Seriously, I pray a lot. But I also did a lot of sessions of treatment. I was every day for five or six hours in the club doing treatment with the physios, working with the fitness department.

“After two weeks, being together with the goalie coaches already, doing some catches, not diving yet. After two-and-a-half weeks I started to dive and then, three days before the match, I started to work hard with hard shooting, hard kicks, hard catches, diving, full-range diving.

“On Friday, I gave the green light to the boss.”

Alisson’s recovery is certainly timely for Liverpool, with deputy Adrian having struggled to convince between the sticks once again in the South American’s absence.
