Burnley climbed to an impressive eighth place in the Premier League after a 1-0 win away at Crystal Palace on Monday evening thanks to Ben Mee’s second-half header – and Liverpool fans were impressed with a Burnley player.
In a somewhat close affair, Burnley boasted the majority of chances – but no glaring chances were created by either side until Ashley Westwood curled a free-kick into the box, before Mee headed home.
Though the former Manchester City defender’s header was excellent, Palace goalkeeper Vicente Guaita will not want to see replays. The Spaniard gets a hand to the ball, but failed to keep the ball out of the net.

Burnley’s second win in two games – after a 1-0 victory over Watford – has seen them climb into a lofty eighth place and into contention for Europa League qualification, strengthening Sean Dyche’s keenness for funding.
Still only 20 years of age, England Under-21 international McNeil is now one of the first names on Dyche’s team sheet. He has had a hand in 16 goals during his 60 Burnley outings, and is rated at £35million (Bleacher Report).
Liverpool supporters applauded winger McNeil as Burnley clocked up a second straight win. Adam Lallana and Xherdan Shaqiri have been linked with an exit, and some Reds fans even discussed McNeil would be a good signing.
