Some Liverpool fans have given their opinion about the situation regarding Emre Can.
Apparently the German international has slipped down the pecking order at Juventus since the arrival of Maurizio Sarri as head coach, and is now even behind ageing pair Sami Khedira and Blaise Matuidi.
Calciomercato report the Old Lady are trying to offload the 25-year-old as a ‘surprise sacrifice’.
It is certainly a fall from grace for Can, who was actually a regular in the starting XI last term.
The former Bayern Munich man started slowly but went on to become a key cog in the machine under Max Allegri as his team surged to another Scudetto.
Apparently the German giants and Paris Saint-Germain are both keen on the player, with both wanting to sign him last summer before his free transfer to Turin.
Liverpool fans have been watching the reports unfold and have now provided their reaction on social media.
Liverpool fans react
It’s fair to say that most Reds fans don’t have much sympathy for Can and the situation he now finds himself in.
Many were disappointed with the way he left the club (there were reports of huge wage demands to extend, although they were denied by the player) and clearly have not forgotten about it as he reportedly prepares to be sold.
Apparently Sarri doesn’t require Emre Can’s services at Juventus anymore.
Just like Coutinho, he’s another player that thought he deserved to be playing at “a higher level”.
I’m sure he enjoyed watching us become European Champions.

Glad he left or we wouldn’t have got Fabi. pic.twitter.com/hfbVKntnnP

Unlike Coutinho, he was very average, wasn’t missed one bit

He’s more interested in his hair than playing football. Good riddance.

With how good Fabinho is I genuinely forget at times that this guy played for us.
