Liverpool are reportedly interested in Barcelona attacker Ousmane Dembele – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have responded to claim they don’t want to see him end up at Anfield next season.
Spanish publication AS reports that Liverpool and Arsenal are both eyeing a potential swoop for the La Liga speed machine.
The report states that the 22-year-old may be set to move away from Spanish heavyweights Barcelona, as all parties involved believe that will be the right move for the player.
Meanwhile, El Desmarque claimed back in January that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was keen on the £85million-rated Barcelona winger.
Dembele, who earns £210,000-a-week (90min), has only been involved in nine games across all completions this campaign due to some horrid luck with injuries.
But the skilful winger has 19 goals and 17 assists in 74 matches since he moved to Camp Nou just under three years ago from Borussia Dortmund.
He was also involved in the France squad that won the World Cup back in 2018, playing in four games during the major international tournament.
A selection of Liverpool supporters on social media are not pleased with the Dembele speculation and feel he would be too risky for them to sign.
The Frenchman is still a young rising talent that has achieved so much and should only improve, but the signs of several injuries already halting his progress is a worry.
Here are some Reds fans discussing Dembele:

I seriously doubt that he can endure the Premier League physicality. That injury record is only getting worse

If we’re not getting Sancho then get this guy in, even with his injury record <50m for him is a bargain. He’s a generational talent. Him + Werner would bring some serious fire power to our attack.
