Liverpool were condemned to a last-gasp defeat against Selhurst Park on Saturday.
Arne Slot’s side looked to have clinched a late point when Federico Chiesa cancelled out Ismaila Sarr’s opener, only for Eddie Nketiah to pounce with a 98th-minute winner.
Several Reds players were noticeably below par, including £125million summer signing Florian Wirtz, but Ibrahima Konate had perhaps the biggest nightmare for the visitors.
Unsurprisingly, Liverpool supporters were not impressed and took to social media to vent their frustration.

Liverpool fans are furious with Ibrahima Konate’s performance
Speculation continues to swirl around Konate’s future with Real Madrid and Bayern Munich circling.
However, he was bullied constantly by Crystal Palace target man Jean-Philippe Mateta at Selhurst Park, forcing Slot’s backline to retreat towards their own box.
The centre-back also squandered a golden chance to hit back from a corner during the first half, and while he improved after the break, the damage had already been done for those watching at home.
One X user said: “Konate is the worst player with the ball in this team. I don’t care what anyone says, but he must go.”
Another agreed, writing: “Might be an all-time stinker from Konate. I’d sub Joe [Gomez] on at half-time if Giovanni Leoni didn’t get injured.”
“Just get rid of Konate in January, please,” a third requested.
One supporter even accused him of “playing against” his own side. They said: “Result today doesn’t matter knowing we’ve got another eight months of Konate playing against us.”
“Said it before, say it again… Konate is a liability and gets covered time and time again by Virgil [van Dijk],” another wrote.
A sixth added: “Liverpool have a defensive crisis if Konate is our second-best centre-back. It’s almost an emergency at this point.”
Premier League clubs interested in Ibrahima Konate
TBR Football understands that a number of Premier League sides are showing an interest in Konate, but Liverpool are still working to tie him down to a new contract.
We reported that intermediaries have made the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City aware that the 26-year-old could be available for nothing next summer.
The feeling at Anfield is that Konate is not actively pushing himself to any club, and our chief correspondent, Graeme Bailey, revealed Liverpool are confident of extending his deal.
The defender had rejected earlier contract offers, though talks have been positive since the summer.
