Roberto Firmino helped Brazil beat Czech Republic 3-1 in an international friendly on Tuesday – and many Liverpool fans hailed their player on Twitter for his performance.

The Reds centre-forward was in action for the South American giants, as they came from a goal behind to secure victory.

Firmino netted the equaliser for Brazil, as his high press meant he nicked the ball off the last man before calmly slotting hime.

The 27-year-old has become a huge favourite at Anfield for his incredible work-rate and that helped him earn his international strike.

Meanwhile, Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus came off the bench in the second-half and scored twice.

Firmino can now focus on Liverpool for the rest of the season, where they are still in the hunt for both the Premier League and Champions League.

He is the first-choice striker at the Merseyside club and may need to try weigh in with more goals to ease the burden on in-form Sadio Mane.

Firmino has played 40 times across all competitions for the Reds this season, scoring 13 goals and supplying six assists in return.

But his overall impact on the team with his energy and endeavour means it’s hard to imagine him not in the side.

Here are some Liverpool fans praising Firmino:
