Rhys Williams completed 90 minutes on Friday night for England’s Under-21 side – and some Liverpool fans on Twitter were extremely positive about the display from their defender on the international stage.
The Reds teenager helped Aidy Boothroyd’s Young Lions secure a 3-1 victory against Andorra in the Under-21 European Championship qualifier at Molineux Stadium.
Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones got himself on the scoresheet, plus there were goals from Ben Wilmot and Callum Hudson-Odoi.

A selection of Liverpool supporters on social media watched their youngster Williams in action and felt that he was a great presence in the backline for England..
The 19-year-old centre-back was a commanding figure that didn’t have too much to deal with defensively against Andorra, but showed his composure on the ball and also displayed his range of passing.
With senior defenders Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk both currently injured for Liverpool, it does open up the door for others to push for a spot in the squad.
Reds manager Jurgen Klopp handed Williams his first-team debut earlier in the season and he’s made five appearances since, which is why he’ll hope his England performance can help push him closer to more game time.
