Liverpool fans hail Fabinho performance against Sheffield United

Fabinho completed 90 minutes in the win over Sheffield United on Saturday – and some of the Liverpool fans on Twitter picked him out as a star player.

The Brazilian defensive midfielder had a busy afternoon against a spirited Sheffield United side and he helped mop up danger in front of the backline.

He’s an ever-present in the Reds side under manager Jurgen Klopp and appears to be going from strength to strength.

The Merseyside giants earned their three points through Georginio Wijnaldum strike from range, but it was a poor piece of goalkeeping from Dean Henderson that allowed the ball to trickle over the line.

Liverpool march on to seven wins from their opening seven games in the top-flight and are looking to launch a serious bid for the title, which they so narrowly missed out on last season to Manchester City.

A selection of Liverpool supporters praised Fabinho for his display at Bramall Lane and feel he stood out, while some of his teammates struggled to find their usual rhythm.

After a rocky start to life at Anfield last year, the 25-year-old became a mainstay in the team and now is surely one the best defensive midfielders in the world.
