It’s fair to say Liverpool’s Divock Origi has history with the Champions League, scoring the memorable winning goal in the semi-finals to beat Barcelona back in the 2018/19 season.
The Belgian forward is unlikely to be involved in a more dramatic moment in his career, but he had Reds supporters going wild for him last night after a piece of skill he produced.
Liverpool beat RB Leipzig 2-0 on Wednesday night to progress to the Champions League quarter finals.
The tie was over when Mohamed Salah’s opener gave the Premier League team a three-goal advantage on aggregate, but they scored again in emphatic fashion.
Sadio Mane produced a delicate finish at the back post to make it 2-0 on the night, but the cross in from him had fans talking.
Origi, who came on a substitute in the second half, delivered an inch-perfect cross into the penalty area that laid on a plate for his teammate.
The 25-year-old whipped in a cross after finding himself in the right channel and he’d usually be on the other end of the move.

A selection of Liverpool fans on social media were left stunned by Origi’s quality cross.
The Belgian attacker rarely gets too many minutes on the pitch and has made just 17 appearances across all competitions this season.
But he’s the man for a big occasion and does still possess some star quality when he’s on it.
Here are some Liverpool fans discussing Origi’s cross:
