Curtis Jones helped inspire Liverpool’s Under-19s side to a victory against Red Bull Salzburg – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter raved about him.
The Reds secured a 4-2 victory against Austrian side Salzburg in the UEFA Youth League, just hours before the senior teams clash in the Champions League group stages at Anfield.
Salzburg deservedly took a 2-1 lead during the second-half after playing some bright football, but the Merseyside club launched an excellent comeback to earn three points.
Jones was the individual to put Liverpool in front with a brilliant finish with his weaker left foot from distance in to the bottom corner.
The left-winger has found some incredible form of late and is knocking on the door for more first-team opportunities.
He did play 90 minutes for the senior team against MK Dons in the third round of the Carabao Cup and he caught the eye with his creative display.
The English 18-year-old is a serious goal threat that looks a real handful at youth level and it looks like he could be the next star to breakthrough from the academy on a regular basis.

A selection of Liverpool supporters on social media picked out Jones for immense praise after he captained the Under-19s to victory on Wednesday afternoon.
