Leeds United and Brentford are reportedly in talks to sign Liverpool defender Yasser Larouci this summer, with Liverpool seemingly willing to sanction the youngster’s exit – but the reports have left Reds fans fuming.

Larouci, 19, joined Liverpool in the summer of 2017 from French side Le Havre – who have become renowned for producing talent. Manchester City’s Riyad Mahrez developed his tools before joining Leicester at Le Havre.

A constant part of Liverpool’s Under-23 side, Larouci even made his senior debut for the Reds this time around – playing twice for Jurgen Klopp’s team. He has been training with the first team for the past 12 months.

However, following talks between club and player, it has been decided that Larouci needs to move on to further his career, as per Goal. He may have questioned his future, after Neco Williams was recently used at left-back.

Larouci has entered the final 12 months of his contract and the report claims that both Leeds and Brentford have held initial talks to lure the left-sided defender to either Elland Road, or Griffin Park.

Liverpool supporters are not impressed on Twitter after hearing the reports, with many aware of the lack of depth at left-back – while some have been impressed with the France Under-19 international.
