'Rather have Suarez': Liverpool fans react as Coutinho makes feelings known
Liverpool fans have responded in their droves on social media after reports suggested that Philippe Coutinho wanted to make a return to Anfield.
The Brazilian midfielder has seen his career nosedive a bit since leaving the Reds for Barcelona. Liverpool cashed in on Coutinho at the time, landing over £140m for the South American star.
However, he’s had a bit of a nightmare in La Liga. He’s failed to produce anywhere near his best form, while loan moves to Bayern Munich haven’t exactly been brilliant either.
Liverpool fans, then, have been having their say on social media.
Coutinho not welcome back at Anfield?
There are hundreds of comments and opinions on Coutinho and Liverpool on Twitter. But at a glance, it seems the majority don’t want him back.
The way he left the club hasn’t sat well with Reds fans. While his form since going has hardly made him an enticing option in the here and now.
So, while some feel he’d do a job in the current set-up, the overwhelming feeling is one of angst towards the Brazilian.
Here, then, is what some Liverpool fans had to say on the matter.
I don’t like the way he left us. I’d rather have Suarez.

My dream is never to hear about his dreams again. His dream when he was at his peak was to play for Barcelona. He got it. My dream is big stars at their peak signing for us. He can play in the US.

Mine is to play for Liverpool… I’m 32, overweight, not fully recovered from an ACL injury in 2013 and I still have more chance of playing for Liverpool than poor Phil does…
