Liverpool are reportedly interested in re-signing their former player Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona – and there has been mixed reviews from supporters on Twitter.
The Brazil international left Anfield for the Spanish giants in 2018 and previously spent five eye-catching years on Merseyside.
According to Le10 Sport, the Reds are one of the teams keen on landing the 27-year-old this summer.
It is understood that Manchester United and Chelsea are also potential suitors for him.
The report details that the attacker is considering life away from Camp Nou after a difficult spell and Barcelona officials wouldn’t be opposed to his exit.
Coutinho is a playmaker that usually plays as a left-winger cutting in and he can drop into the midfield too if needed.
The South American score 11 goals and supplied five assists last season for Barcelona in 54 games, but isn’t quite at the level he was during his time in England.
There has been a lot of pressure for him to become a superstar instantly at Barcelona and he’s still trying to do that.
Some Liverpool fans on social media believe a return of Coutinho to Anfield will make them a better side, while others would rather ignore him.
Jurgen Klopp’s team have gone on to new heights since his exit and won a Champions League, but the Brazilian playmaker is top-class on his day and was a former talisman at Anfield.
Here are some Liverpool fans commenting on the Coutinho speculation:
