A number of Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the performance of Roberto Firmino as the Reds produced a remarkable comeback in the Carabao Cup against Leicester City on Wednesday.
The Reds looked set to miss out on the last four in the competition with the Foxes heading for their first victory at Anfield since Tony Cottee and Phil Gilchrist gave them the win in 2000.

Jurgen Klopp made a raft of changes for the game. Unfortunately, it was not the best night for the likes of Billy Koumetio and Conor Bradley. They were replaced at the break with the score already 3-1.
But Liverpool fought back in the second-half. Diogo Jota got one back before Takumi Minamino scored in stoppage-time to take the tie to penalties. Firmino scored his spot-kick as Liverpool went through in sudden death.

The Brazilian provided the assist for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s strike. And he was also involved in the build-up for Liverpool’s second. No player made more key passes than the 30-year-old, with four, according to Whoscored.
It can hardly be suggested that Liverpool have missed Firmino a lot since he has been sidelined. The 2-2 draw with Tottenham at the weekend was the first time they have failed to win in nine games in all competitions.

With that in mind, here is what some of the Liverpool fans were saying about Firmino’s display against Leicester…
