Hakim Ziyech has been miles off the playmaker that sparkled in red and white for Ajax. His move to Chelsea, costing the Blues £37million (Goal), has not gone to plan – the competition, perhaps, proving too much for Ziyech. He could go on loan, and Liverpool fans have reacted on Twitter.
Ziyech, 28, joined Chelsea in the summer of 2020 – a deal that was organised a lot earlier. But since then, the Morocco international has only played 49 times in all competitions – only starting 31 times. Quite amazingly, Ziyech has completed 90 minutes on just two occasions for the West London side.
The likes of Mason Mount, Mateo Kovacic, Christian Pulisic, Ross Barkley, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and others have limited his chances. It is a similar case for Saul Niguez, who is firmly down the pecking order since joining the club from Atletico Madrid on a loan-to-buy deal on deadline day.
Reports state that Ziyech could leave on loan, with Borussia Dortmund interested in taking the ex-Ajax man to Germany. A January exit might be perfect for the Chelsea ace, in order to get the best out of him the season after. If not, Chelsea might be able to sell him for a permanent fee.

Should Liverpool consider a move for Chelsea ace Ziyech?
Without a doubt. Chelsea may feel that Ziyech has been below par but as stated, he simply has not been given a fair run of games to develop some momentum. At Liverpool, he probably has more chance of achieving that. Whether that is in the front three, or as an attacking midfielder.
Liverpool sold Xherdan Shaqiri to Lyon in the summer, while Gini Wijnaldum left the club on a free – eventually joining Paris Saint-Germain. That is, even with a perceived lack of options, anyway. Divock Origi could end up leaving in January, Harvey Elliott is injured until the new year.
So, it is quite clear that Liverpool need a midfielder that can also do a job in the front three. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain can, but is better in the midfield. Ziyech is more of an attacker. One that can drift and come inside, just like Mo Salah and Sadio Mane do. A loan for Ziyech would be ideal.

What are Liverpool fans saying about Ziyech, amid loan reports?
That is the opinion of most Liverpool fans anyway – when prompted regarding a response over Ziyech’s potential loan exit in January. If given the game time, he can be a whole lot better than he has been at Chelsea. At Liverpool, the lack of options means he would get that game time.
Liverpool fans are all for the addition of Ziyech, even though he will be joining Salah and Mane in jetting off to the African Cup of Nations in January. Many wanted him before his move to Chelsea, and now, many would like him signed in the upcoming January window.
