Liverpool are reportedly considering a move to sign Norwich City defender Jamal Lewis this summer as the club look to bring in cover for Andy Robertson – and many Reds fans have urged their side to get a deal done.

Lewis, 22, has impressed in the Premier League this season – clocking up 27 outings in the top tier. He has 98 Norwich outings to his name and while he a defensive left-back, he still scored against Leicester in February.

In terms of cover for Robertson, Neco Williams recently played at left-back while veteran James Milner can also fill in. But Yasser Larouci is reportedly in talks to join either Leeds or Brentford (Goal) and Liverpool want cover.

Goal have claimed in a new report that Liverpool are considering a move to sign six-time Northern Ireland international Lewis – who has an asking price of £20million according to the Belfast Telegraph.

With Norwich already suffering relegation, they are likely to sell a number of their players. Max Aarons, Ben Godfrey, Todd Cantwell, Emi Buendia and Teemu Pukki have all been linked with the exit door.

Now, Lewis could join them in leaving with Liverpool linked and Reds fans are all for the idea of luring Luton-born Lewis to Anfield this summer – especially with his asking price just £20million.
