Liverpool fans discuss performance of 16-year-old during Under-23 win
Liverpool defeated Everton last night in the mini-derby as the club’s under-23 outfit secured bragging rights of sorts. Youngster Kaide Gordon was bang in form and supporters raved about him on Twitter afterwards.
The Reds youngsters were rampant. They ran out 3-1 winners with Sheyi Ojo, Gordon and Max Woltman the goalscorers for the young Liverpool side.
Barry Lewtas has his side well drilled. His team were no match for Everton. The Toffees did briefly get a foothold in the game when Rafael Ferrerira scored. His goal proved in vain, however.
It has been a decent start to the season for Liverpool’s young guns. Their opening game of the campaign finished in a 0-0 draw and Lewtas will be happy with the start his team has made.
Gordon was once again the star of the show. He made the switch to Liverpool from Derby back in January for £1 million.
The versatile forward already looks like becoming a future star. Harvey Elliott is now in the first team under Jurgen Klopp and he will hope to emulate his teammate.
What have Liverpool fans said about Gordon?
Quite simply, they think he’s a future star. They can’t get enough of seeing him play and some hope he might get some chances in the cup competitions this season.
