Liverpool have announced their starting line-up ahead of Wednesday night’s game in the Champions League – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter are baffled that Takumi Minamino has been left on the bench yet again.
Reds manager Jurgen Klopp has made five changes to his starting XI for the midweek clash against Italian side Atalanta in the Champions League group stages.
The Merseyside giants thumped Atalanta 5-0 in the reverse fixture at the beginning of November and will be hoping for similar success at Anfield tonight, as they can mathematically seal progression to the last-16 of the competition.

A selection of Liverpool supporters on social media are confused to see Minamino named on the bench and missing from the XI in the official line-up announcement.
The 25-year-old attacker has had a difficult individual season so far where he’s struggled for regular minutes on the pitch and he’s once again with the substitutes on Wednesday night.
He’s scored three goals in his 10 appearances for the Reds this season in all competitions, but he’s started in just three of those games and is quite clearly far down the pecking order when it comes to the forward positions.
Here are some Liverpool fans discussing Klopp once again overlooking Minamino:
