'He can't complain': Liverpool fans confused with Klopp for pre-Watford comment

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was on one yesterday in his pre-match press conference ahead of Watford, as he laid into the England under-21s for playing Curtis Jones in Andorra.

Jones was brought into the fold by Lee Carsley and ended up playing a key role in what was a tight 1-0 win for the Young Lions. However, Klopp hinted that the inclusion of Jones was unnecessary, as he lamented the injury to his young midfielder.

“When we talk about federations, Curtis Jones came back from England U21s injured. Great! It’s hard to get in touch with them. They played Andorra, really important he played there,” Klopp complained.

It means the Reds will be without both Jones and fellow youngster Harvey Elliott through injury. The injury to Jones adds further insult to the fact that Fabinho will also be missing through quarantine issues.
