Antonio Conte is reportedly on the verge of joining Tottenham Hotspur as manager – and Liverpool fans are concerned that Spurs will improve.
Conte, 52, is expected to take over at Tottenham after the North London outfit decided to sack Nuno Espirito Santo on Monday morning.
Spurs suffered a heavy 3-0 defeat to Manchester United on Saturday and it appears to be the final straw for Daniel Levy and Fabio Paratici.
Antonio Conte is reportedly in London and set to put pen to paper on a deal that will keep the ex-Chelsea gaffer at Spurs until the summer of 2023.
Conte, of course, is one of Europe’s best managers. A Premier League winner with Chelsea, he has just tasted Serie A success with Inter Milan.
Surprisingly, after winning the Scudetto, Conte left Inter was locked in plenty of talks with Tottenham over a move to the club in the summer.
It fell through, and Spurs went for Nuno instead. Conte remains without a job, but his stock still just as high as it was when he left Inter.

What are Liverpool fans saying as Tottenham close in on Conte?
Conte has come up against Liverpool four times – winning only once, drawing two and losing once. But the belief is he will take Spurs forward.
Right now, Spurs are still in a decent-enough position despite their lack of consistency – sitting in eighth. A few wins and they can be in the top four.
Liverpool fans are confident enough that Spurs are too far below them to trouble their title credentials – but expect Spurs to improve under Conte.
