Liverpool suffered their first defeat of the Premier League season on Thursday night – but some of the club’s supporters on Twitter still singled out defender Andrew Robertson for the quality of his display.
The Reds were beaten 2-1 away to Manchester City and it means they remain top of the table by just four points.
Sergio Aguero scored for the hosts at the Etihad Stadium from close-range, before Roberto Firmino pulled back an equaliser in the second-half.
Leroy Sane went on to score the winner for Manchester City and it ensured that they pulled themselves firmly back into the title picture, as they climbed to second.
Jurgen Klopp’s side weren’t quite at their dazzling best, but played their part in a memorable fixture and did have some quality moments away from home.

A selection of Liverpool fans on social media loved Robertson’s contrition to the fixture and he’s become a major favourite on Merseyside.
The 24-year-old defender set up Firmino’s goal with a perfectly weighted cross on the volley and it was his sixth assist of the season across all competitions.
He is a Scotland international that is renowned by many as the best left-back in the Premier League and a real menace going forward.
But he also dealt with Raheem Sterling well for large parts too and is so difficult to beat in one-on-one positions.
Here are some Liverpool fans applauding Robertson for his performance:
