Manager Jurgen Klopp has claimed that Liverpool’s midfielder Naby Keita has looked strong in training – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have responded by stating that he should start.
The 24-year-old has seen his season disrupted through injury so far and his only start was in a Carabao Cup win over MK Dons in September.
But the Guinea international is now back to fitness and had a positive late cameo at the weekend in the 1-1 draw against Manchester United.
The central midfielder is someone that can offer a great attacking threat when he pushes forward with his creativity, but has a tremendous work-rate too and offers a box-to-box role.
Klopp was asked about him ahead of Liverpool’s away fixture at Belgian club Genk on Wednesday night in the Champions League group stages
“Soon,” Klopp responded when asked when Keita will be at his best, as quoted by Liverpool’s official Youtube account.
“Naby has looked really good in training. I do not know [when he will start], but it will not be long anymore.”

A selection of Liverpool fans on social media have responded to Klopp and are urging him to promote Keita to the XI.
Jordan Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum and Fabinho have become the settled midfield trio in recent times, but they have great competition in the squad from Keita, Alex Oxalde-Chamberlain and Adam Lallana.
