Liverpool could bring forward a move for Sander Berge due to Fabinho’s injury, according to The Mirror.
Fabinho picked up an injury in a recent match against Napoli. Jurgen Klopp is mulling over his options with his Brazilian midfielder still sidelined and Berge could be a new addition.
When the January window opens, Liverpool might explore the possibility of accelerating this £18m transfer. The Reds reportedly wanted the Norway international for next season but he could join sooner.
Berge to cover Fabinho?
Berge is a holding midfielder, like Fabinho, and he stands at 6ft 5in tall. The 21-year-old is known for his powerful displays in the middle of the park and he is tipped for a bright future.
With over 100 appearances to his name for Genk, Berge is starting to attract attention. Liverpool have scouted the youngster firsthand in the Champions League this season and could now swoop.
Liverpool bringing this move forward would boost their chances of beating other clubs to his signature. But some fans are confused by this reported plan. They believe Fabinho will be back by January and that Marko Grujic could be recalled instead.
Rather get Grujic back!!

This doesn’t make sense. Why sign someone to fill the void temporarily left by Fab with someone who’ll need the second half of the season to adjust?

Seriously? Where do you get the neck to just make stuff up? For starters Fabinho will be back by then, and as well we’ve got shedloads of cover. RB if we do anything in January, but I doubt even that.
