Liverpool have been preparing for Thursday night’s Premier League clash by training at League Two side Leyton Orient’s Stadium – but Reds fans are concerned on Twitter, as Fabinho seems absent from footage posted on social media.

Fabinho, 27, has been crucial to Liverpool this season. With Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez both injured, the Brazil international has been a regular in the side – dropping into the middle of the defence from his natural position of holding midfield.

He has played 26 of Liverpool’s 30 league and cup matches, rested for one Carabao Cup outing and missing three others through a hamstring strain. He was expected to partner Joel Matip at the heart of the defence on Thursday night in North London.

Footage has emerged of Liverpool’s training session on social media, as Jurgen Klopp puts to the finishing touches to his preparations. Klopp will be desperate to get a win, having seen his side go without one in the league for five games.

Just one win in their last seven league and cup games came in the form of a 4-1 victory over Aston Villa’s kids – in which Louie Barry scored first. But without Fabinho, Liverpool will surely find it difficult to keep Harry Kane and Son Heung-min quiet.

Reds fans reacted in worried fashion to the images on Twitter, with many struggling to see where Fabinho was during the training sessions. The Brazilian could of course be having a rest ahead of the game – but supporters are concerned.
