Liverpool failed to make the break through on Sunday as the Reds drew 0-0 with bitter rivals Manchester United at Anfield in a first-against-second clash – but Reds fans cannot understand one decision made by Jurgen Klopp.
The two sides have always been arch enemies – more so than their local derbies of Everton and Manchester City. But that rivalry was extended on Sunday, with United overtaking Liverpool into first place earlier this month.
Both sides had chances to score throughout the match, Thiago stinging the palms of his Spain teammate David De Gea with a brilliant strike from around 20 yards out. Paul Pogba had the best chance, but Alisson stopped him.
Klopp started Xherdan Shaqiri alongside Roberto Firmino, Mo Salah and Sadio Mane – while turning to James Milner, Curtis Jones and Divock Origi from the bench. It saw Takumi Minamino miss out once again.
The 26-year-old scored the opening goal in his last Premier League appearance – a 7-0 win over Crystal Palace. But since then, he has remained an unused substitute in the Merseyside outfit’s last four games.
Again, on Sunday, the £75,000-a-week (Spotrac) player was forced to watch from the sidelines as Klopp looked elsewhere on his bench. Liverpool supporters cannot understand why Klopp did not use the Japanese playmaker.
Just sell Minamino if you aren't using him. let him have a career man. Don't waste such talent

What does Minamino have to do?

I honestly don't know why Taki has been frozen out. No goals in 3 games and he's sat in the stands.

this game needs minamino.

Minamino not playing any minutes during his birthday is probably the worst part of the match. Front 3 menacing at all :(

Btw Klopp brought on Milner instead of Minamino when we needed a goal
