Liverpool thrashed Crystal Palace 7-0 on Saturday afternoon to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter raved about the performance of their captain Jordan Henderson.
The Reds were in astonishing form at Selhurst Park to earn the points that saw them temporarily move six points clear at the top of the table.
Jurgen Klopp’s side ripped through the Palace attack on so many occasions and found the clinical touch in front of goal.
Takumi Minamino, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino (two), Henderson and substitute Mohamed Salah (two) were all on the scoresheet during the weekend rout.
There were serious question marks over Liverpool’s title defence earlier in the season, especially when they were thrashed 7-2 against Aston Villa.
But the Merseyside club have followed up a win over Tottenham with the thrashing of Crystal Palace to send out a real statement to the rest of the division regarding their title credentials.

A selection of Liverpool supporters on social media singed out Henderson amid so many impressive individual performances at Palace.
The 30-year-old midfielder scored the fourth goal of the contest with a first-time finish from the edge of the box and he helped pull the strings in the centre of the park.
