‘Relentless’: Liverpool fans rave about Andrew Robertson for Aston Villa performance

For Liverpool, a 1-0 win against Aston Villa was all that was needed to ensure they kept in touch at the top with Manchester City and Chelsea.

A penalty from Mo Salah was enough for the Reds to see off a stern test from Steven Gerrard’s Villa. The away side could, and perhaps should, have had a penalty of their own late on too. But it was not to be, and Liverpool’s relentless march to retake their PL crown continues.

For Liverpool fans, it was nice to see their players continuing the high standards. But while it is Salah who continues to grab headlines, some supporters felt Andrew Robertson was inspiring today at Anfield.

The Scottish star returned at left-back and showed just why he is still above Kostas Tsimikas in the pecking order. His running, power, and energy down the line, all things Liverpool fans picked up on over on Twitter.
