Liverpool supporters have taken to social media to praise 16-year-old academy star Kaide Gordon following his impressive performance against Derby County last night in the U-18 Premier League.
The Reds signed the teenage attacker from the Rams in February of this year for a reported fee of £3m according to the Liverpool Echo, with Gordon largely playing football at U-18 level for the Merseyside club despite playing a singular first-team game for Wayne Rooney’s side earlier this season.
Gordon has impressed at youth level since arriving at Liverpool, and last night, against former club, the winger was in sensational form as the teenager scored one and assisted another for the Reds in a 3-0 win over Derby, and supporters on social media were excited by the potential of this young player.
Here’s what some Liverpool fans had to say on Twitter about Gordon’s performance…
Kaide Gordon's pressing and workrate is phenomenal. He's already got 2 of the main characteristics a Klopp player requires. Both him and Frauendorf have been signings that fit our high intensity, pressing style. Hope our senoir team can get back to that.

Liverpool fans will be hoping Gordan can get some first-team minutes next season after his incredible form at U-18 level this year, with the Kirkby academy continuing to produce exciting talents following from recent successes such as Trent Alexander-Arnold and Curtis Jones.
