Liverpool defeated Osasuna at Anfield 3-1 as they rounded off their pre-season campaign in style, with Kaide Gordon earning rave reviews from the club’s supporters.
The Reds played their second friendly in 24 hours and a brace from Roberto Firmino followed by an own goal from Jesus Areso Blanco saw Jurgen Klopp’s men home.
Gordon was the star attraction though. He produced the goods during a stunning first half, with many supporters baffled when he was withdrawn at half-time.

At just 16 Gordon is set for a really bright future. He signed for the club during the January transfer window for a fee of just £1 million from crisis-club Derby County.
He’s been featuring heavily during the club’s pre-season campaign and the versatile forward looks like a decent player in the making.
Gordon plays anywhere across the front three and can even operate as an out and out striker.
It does seem unlikely that he will make an impact this season, although the future looks extremely bright for the former Rams star.
Liverpool supporters rave about Gordon
Ibrahima Konate remains Liverpool’s only stellar recruit this summer and it’s unlikely that any more will check in.
With that in mind, the Reds could find themselves turning to someone like Gordon during the cup competitions at least.

Liverpool will aim to fire on four fronts during 2021/22 and as a result, Gordon could receive plenty of game time.
It certainly seems as though the fans enjoyed his showing and afterwards, they took to Twitter to discuss their young performer.
Here is what they had to say about the former Derby man as Osasuna were put to the sword.
