Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson capped an impressive 2020 last night by claiming runner-up in the BBC Sports Personality of the Year award.
The skipper came ahead of jockey Hollie Doyle who came third and finished behind the winner Lewis Hamilton.
Henderson became the first Liverpool captain to lift the Premier League title when the Reds ended their wait for the trophy last season.
The 31-year-old also claimed the Football Writers’ Association Player of the Year award for his efforts.
Henderson has proved a revelation during his time at Anfield.

He checked in from Sunderland in 2011 for £20 million and has progressed into of the finest midfielder’s in the Premier League.
Henderson has made 380 appearances for the Reds, scoring 30 goals and registered 51 assists.
His latest goal came on Saturday in the 7-0 rout of Crystal Palace, with Liverpool returning to the summit of the Premier League.
Last night, it was all about the champions at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards.
Liverpool were crowned Team of the Year, with Jurgen Klopp earning Coach of the Year.
It was Henderson who earned rave reviews on Twitter though after collecting the award for second place in the big prize.
