Some Liverpool fans have responded to reports that Barcelona are eyeing a shock move for Dejan Lovren this January.
The Croatia international has made it onto the Spanish giants’ transfer shortlist, along with Matthijs de Ligt and Branislav Ivanovic.
Barca are currently short at the back, with injuries to Samuel Umtiti and Thomas Vermaelen.

In the case of Umtiti, the Frenchman has no known return date but will not have to undergo surgery.
Vermaelen could be out for around six weeks, meaning Gerard Pique and Clement Lenglet are the only available central defenders.
Both will likely recover around the time of the January transfer window, but certainly Vermaelen’s rotten injury record could prompt Barca into a sale there.
Lovren a genuine target
Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo claim Barca want to sign Lovren, who has fallen down the pecking order at Anfield.
Joe Gomez has taken full advantage of his chance following Lovren’s post-World Cup injury, and looks to have built a solid partnership with Virgil van Dijk.

It has left Barca feeling as though they can negotiate a deal for the 29-year-old, who is under contract until 2021.
They managed to successfully negotiate a deal for Philippe Coutinho in January, and will feel encouraged they can do the same in January 2019.
That said, Liverpool would surely demand a huge fee for the World Cup finalist.
What do Liverpool fans think?
Lovren divides opinion amongst Liverpool supporters.
Many took to Twitter to throw their two cents in on the shock link. Opinion seems very split:
