Liverpool put aside their recent woeful form to produce a sparkling performance in North London and beat Tottenham Hotspur 3-1 – and Reds fans have raved over the performance of right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Liverpool came into the match fielding Jordan Henderson and Joel Matip at centre-back. Pre-match rumours were indeed correct, Fabinho was missing after supporters suggested he was missing from a training session today.
Despite that, the Reds took the lead as a mix-up between Hugo Lloris and Eric Dier saw Roberto Firmino tap in a Sadio Mane cross. It was 2-0 immediately after the break, as Alexander-Arnold capitalised on a Lloris mistake.

The France captain pushed a tame shot right into his path, and the England right-back found the bottom corner with a venomous strike. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg scored the pick of the goals with a piledriver from 25 yards to make it 2-1.
But another mistake – this time from Joe Rodon – saw Sadio Mane slam the ball into the roof of the net to make it 3-1 and banish Liverpool’s poor form away. Alexander-Arnold got a goal and an assist, was named Man of the Match.
Liverpool fans reacted to his performance on Twitter and raved about Alexander-Arnold, with the number 66 previously struggling this season. One fan suggested he has got his “mojo” back.
